“I purchased this item as I desired something that would be self-contained and relatively aesthetic. I would have preferred the product to be the same colour as the mac-mini it was connected to. My mac-mini is being used as a media computer and is installed in a unit under the wall-mounted TV. The little blue lights as well as the logo light are now taped over. A better solution would be a little rear mounted switch to disable the lighting if desired. I purchased the 14 Tb version without the ssd as It would also be used as a time-machine backup. The provided formatting software didn’t have a “Timemachine” option. This would have been helpful. Overall, a very pretty, functional and compact hub/storage solution.”
