“Over my network I was only able to write to my Synology NAS (ds1819+) at 10MB/s or less. I installed the 10GBE card to my NAS (e10G17-F2). I use this OWC 10G Ethernet adapter to connect to the 10GBE port on my NAS directly with a Cat 7 cable. I am writing at 600MB/s and reading at 900MB/s. Has fixed my work flow problems. The OWC device gets quite warm, but it's whole case is a heat sink and I keep it up on a stand and it is well ventilated and it continues to perform at these high speeds.”
