“I ordered one because I was going to get a new Mac mini soon anyway, but I thought I would be clever and use it with an older one with the aid of a USB A to C adapter. Doing this KILLS the wifi. Now I unplug it mostly but plug it in when I need the extra ports and I'm not using the internet. I assume that the newer Macminis will be better shielded from the USB C ports.”
