“I bought one of these for my Mac Pro. The benefits have been increased throughput, and freeing up on of the drive bays.
It was super-simple to install, and worked straight out of the box.
It supports a second SSD, but I wasn't too impressed with the add-on extender to support that, so just have the single drive on it so far.
Oh, and one more benefit, the SSD on the Tempo card allows much better airflow than the same SSD in an IcyDock on a drive tray.”
