“We needed a European King size mattress with a maximum depth of 18cm and this was one of the few we were able to find at this price range. We didn't like the IKEA ones but this one didn't really have any reviews so it was at the time a difficult choice to make for us. In the end we decided to go for it and risk it and we can now say that we are very glad we did. We are actually very positively surprised by the product which is why I decided to leave a more in-depth review for anyone else struggling to make up their mind due to the limited information available. Our previous mattress was a lot thicker at 35cm depth and medium firm (4 out of 5 firmness). The mattress was part memory foam and part micro springs so I wasn't sure I'd like a fully foam mattress. We bought this one in standard firmness which I would describe more as a 3 out of 5 firmness. We received the mattress in ok time and it was rolled for transport so easy to move to where it needed to go. I don't know how heavy it was to carry as my husband did that. We left the mattress to air (it has a funky smell due to packaging but that is normal and evaporates within 24hrs) and to regain its shape for about 3 days without putting any weight at all on it. It reformed perfectly. I don't think it is necessary to leave it sat for 3 days, but our new bedding hadn't arrived yet anyways so we decided to give it the extra time. They do not recommend to let it reshape leaning against a wall. The depth is actually a lot thicker looking than I expected for 18cm. I also really enjoy that it isn't too heavy and it is much easier to change the bedding now. Standard fitted sheet depth fits perfectly. As is typical it took sleeping on it for about three days before our bodies had gotten used to the change, but the support is actually perfect. My husband struggles with a sore back sometimes and l currently have pregnancy related hip and back issues and the firmness is exactly right for us. It's firm enough to give good support and soft enough to be soothing to sleep on when your body is a bit sore. I also think this would be a perfect mattress for a guest or kid's bed as it is a good all-rounder in my opinion. I did have to get used to the foam feeling as spring mattresses really do feel very different, but I honestly sleep much better on this one than our previous mattress now. We have only had this mattress for about a month now so I cannot say whether it will stand the test of time. Regardless, we are very happy with our purchase and would buy it again.”
