“I absolutely love this bed.
Was suoer simple to put together (even with a very enthusiastic Staffy “helping”), but once assembled it exceeded my expectations.
The frame feels solid and sturdy, with no wobble, and the black finish is really well done. The design is beautiful—ornate without being over the top—and it has exactly the vintage, cottage feel I was hoping for. It has completely transformed my bedroom.
One thing I particularly like is that it looks far more expensive than it is. The scrollwork is elegant, the proportions are perfect, and it works beautifully with both modern and vintage furniture.
Packaging was excellent, with all parts arriving in perfect condition, and the instructions were straightforward.
If you’re looking for a bed with character instead of another plain timber frame, I highly recommend this one. I’d happily buy it again.”
“The bed itself is very good quality, there’s no movement at all as put together very well. It looks great in the bedroom. Although I was very disappointed that the bed had a manufacture fault, one of the wrought iron curls at the end of the bed was bent in two places and not curled to suit the other one. I wanted a replacement bed end as I wasn’t looking for a seconds faulty item but when I suggested that to McPhails they wouldn’t have a bar to do with it and I was offered 75.00 compensation. They ended up paying 100.00. Not the best outcome considering I paid good money for the bed. Love their furniture but I must admit it has put a sour taste in my mouth as the outcome was not the best and could have easily been replaced. So I guess if you’re buying online then you takes risk of faulty items, and it has really upset me that they wouldn’t replace just that end.”
