“This is my first Kaweco pen and I absolutely love the writing feel of it. I find this pen to be smoother than the similarly priced Lamy Safari which are a bit scratchy. I also like the screw close mechanism for a portable fountain pen, I have no fear it will open and soak my bag in ink.
The only downside is the smooth plastic outside is prone to scratches/marking. Personally I see this as more of a ‘patina’ effect showing the pen has been used, but some may find this frustrating. Comparatively the matte plastic finish of the Lamy safari is quite hard wearing and less likely to show a scratch.”
