2000 Fountain Pen Stainless Steel / Bold Reviews

4.5 Rating 2 Reviews
Good value with Milligram's regular sales, makes everyone happy. This steel version of the Lamy 2000 is unlikely to crack like my regular 2000 where I had to pay to get it fixed as there's no or a questionable international warrantee. The broad nib is a good size but stiff for gold. This misses laying down the ink if slightly off. The Ef and F nibs seem to be better and I might swap it out with my spare Fine nib. I don't think these pens are worth the AUD retail at all but Milligarm saves the day if you are patient.

The Lamy 2000 stainless steel fountain pen has been on my radar for years, but it wasn't till I saw it on a deep discount at Milligram.com that I finally took the plunge. It's a beautiful pen - elegant in its simplicity, with a smooth piston filler mechanism and a lovely broad nib. It's noticeably heavier than its macrolon counterpart, which may be a turn-off for some - but for me, it makes the pen feel more 'substantial' in my hands. Highly recommend this classic pen - it was a great buy!
