“You know that feeling you get when you think you’ve stumbled upon bullet journaling gold? Discovering a notebook with all the features of a quality bujo but with better paper (120gsm!). Yeah, that was how I felt before trying this notebook out.
For the $50 price point, you would expect the paper quality to exceed expectation. It didn't. While it may be great for ball point and felt tip pens, don’t expect to create anything arty in this notebook, despite it being labelled as part of the Moleskine ‘Art Collection’ series of notebooks. The moment water touches the paper, it begins to curl (normal yes but this was WAAAY worse than in my Leuchtturm1917). This was followed by the paper turning a blotchy dark yellow, with it then eventually drying in dark yellow patches so you can barely even see the true colour of the watercolour. The water also bled through the pages (yes, multiple, not just one).
While I really wanted to love this notebook, it didn’t live up to the description or Moleskine hype. I wouldn’t recommend this Moleskine Art Collection product given there are other alternatives available at more reasonable prices.”
