“An interesting little pencil, not quite what I expected but a decent design. It feels less "substantial" in the hand than I was hoping — not flimsy, but very light and "hollow" in a way that makes me want to baby it more than I would have liked, especially with a plastic ferrule/guard rather than a metal one.. Perhaps destined for a jacket pocket or a pen slot in a bag than my jeans pocket, as it seems very easy to extend the ferrule core and lead with relatively light action. It may take some getting used to the action of only extending the core and not the lead in one gesture, and potentially over-extend the lead to a breakable length, if you leave the lead extended at all relying on the retractability to protect it. I tend to carry a sewn organizer in my pocket that can host a range of writing tools comfortably but this design would invite lint into the housing and I'd worry about extending the inner core every other time I sat down. That said, the lightweight metal body will probably prove pleasant for extended writing sessions and the endearing design will at least be decent fidgeting entertainment.”
