A small goat dairy with spectacular views.

Must be animal friendly goes without saying. In particular our house dogs. Both very female orientated but happy with men. Ones a whippet maggie and the other is a rescue working dog Summer.

A lovely area with plenty to see and do.

You would need to be here a couple of days before or so as we would have show you our routine.

We finally have some down time before next kidding season. So looking for a break.

Its all pretty easy.

Accommodation:

You can park your caravan van here and connect to electricity or you can stay in the house. Choice is yours. Regardless the house is there for your use and your comfort.

Description:

We have a 7 acre place 6 KM out of Millicent, SA. We have a large 3 bedroom house with magnificent views back towards town over the valley.

Duties.

1. May be some goats to milk but we will try to dry them off before as we will have kidding in Dec.
2. Some feeding of goats may be required
3.Feed ducks and chickens.
4. Collect eggs.
4. Check water daily for all animals
5. Water the Vegi garden.

We have 23 goats in all.

We have 4 chooks and 4 ducks as well.

Really pretty easy to look after our place and goat cuddles are the best. On a full tummy the goats like to sit with humans if you feel the need.

We are close to interesting places such as beautiful Beachport, Robe and South End with beautiful bays and beaches, brewery's, cafes and restaurants, we even have a award winning (expensive) steak house 2 kms from our house. Penola is only 50kms away and Coonawarra wine district about 55 to 60km away. There are also caves to visit as well as sink holes. We also have the rugged coast line just behind us called the Cannunda national park, less than 10kms away if you like 4x4 driving on great coast line and great sand dunes. Fishing also is able to be done around the area.

Mick and Nicola's place was beautiful & they could not have been more welcoming and kind. Mick & Nic were really well organised, providing all the food & resources we required to take care of the hobby farm for the entirety of the 2 months we were there. They arranged visits before hand, to allow us to learn about the farm & show us the ropes. The gorgeous goats were easy to take care of, despite a few unexpected ailments along the way! Thanks to their excellent organisation before hand, accessing the vet was easy. Their puppy dogs were playful and enjoyed company. Being our first farm sit, Mick and Nic were always at the end of the phone when we needed clarification on things & provided reassurance and support throughout our stay. Their house was very well equipped with everything you could ever need. Such a great experience and thankful for the opportunity .

We had a fabulous three weeks at Millicent with Maggie, Summer, Ash, Lily, Trixie and the rest of the goats, chickens and ducks. Michael and Nicola live in a beautifully scenic and peaceful area with a lovely spacious comfortable home. Maggie and Summer are very affectionate dogs and great company. We enjoyed our stay and it was fun milking the goats! Thank you for a great experience.

A truly unique home, beautiful panoramic views, goats, ducks, chooks and veggie gardens, all combined to make this farmsit on the Limestone Coast interesting. Michael and Nicola are a great couple who communicated well before and during the sit. The locals are friendly and the swimming lake/pool in town is fantastic on a warm day.
