Hi, I'm Fabiana. I love being a house & pet sitter and I think it is a fantastic opportunity to find a home away from home whilst caring for beautiful pets with all the cuddles and attention they deserve.

I am very respectful of others' possessions and treat their home as my own. I am honest, clean and tidy, non-smoker. I love a quiet time, relaxing, reading/writing or watching a movie.

A bit about me: I'm originally from Brazil, I have been living in Australia for almost 20 years now and became a citizen a long time ago.

My love and respect for animals has led me to become a vegetarian. Since I was little, I've always showed great interest in animals of all sizes and species, but my favourite critters are cats.

I had my first cat when I was 4 years old, and many others since. This helped me develop not only a great admiration for these beautiful animals but also, a great knowledge of their behaviour. I can interact with all kinds of cats, from the shy to the "mean" kitties and they will be asking for cuddles in no time. Some people call me a "cat whisperer"!

I also love dogs of all sizes and breeds (my family always had German shepherds) as well as small animals such as hamsters, guinea pigs and birds.

I currently do not have pets living with me, but my parents, in Brazil, have a gorgeous black cat that we adopted together during my visit in 2023. I have a passion for travel and usually go overseas every year (prior to the pandemic) or whenever possible. So, travelling around Victoria to house sit can sometimes feel like a mini-holiday, which is so much fun. I love it!

“Fabiana is the most wonderful human and Princess Lottie loved her new friend, while she was so happy the day we came home from holidays, she spent the afternoon walking around looking for Fabiana and being a bit sad her extended family wasn’t together. Thank you for helping us relax while we were away knowing Lottie and our plants and house were in caring hands….x”

“Fabiana was gracious enough to agree to a very short 2 night stay at my place to look after the cat. Not only that, but the cat got sick just before I went away and Fabiana had to administer medication, not in the original contract! The house was immaculate when I returned, the cat well looked after and there was even a box of chockies left for me! We're now in discussion about her sitting again for my next trip in a few months' time. Don't hesitate to engage Fabiana if you're lucky enough to find her with a spare spot.”

“Highly recommend Fabiana! Our two chihuahua's can be a bit needy and get anxious when we're away, but judging by the photos she took you could see in their faces they were very happy and comfortable being with her. It was our first time using mind a home and were a bit nervous to start with, but as soon as we met her she was so lovely and great with our dogs straight away, we immediately were put at ease. It was so nice to not be stressed about our boys during our trip, as we knew our boys were in good hands. The place was so clean when we got home too. We (and our boys) hope that she'll be available the next time we go away! Thanks so much Fabiana!”

“Fabiana was a wonderful sitter! It was our first time using Mindahome and we were nervous about a stranger in the house but we felt very comfortable after meeting her, she gave us regular updates while we were away, left the house clean and tidy, and our cat Miso was clearly very well cared for. We will definitely ask Fabiana to housesit again in the future!”

“This is the first time we have used houseminders. We were a little nervous, but needn't have been. Fabiana is a delightful person. Approachable, open, warm and friendly. She is every bit the "cat whisperer" she claims to be. Our two rescues are anxious with strangers and she handled them beautifully. They were so calm when we came home. We interviewed several housesitters, but felt instantly warmed by Fabiana's manner and enthusiasm for our cats. We had several requests to make of Fabiana: Fill the birdbath, water the plants, change the kitty litter. None was a problem for Fabiana. She even dealt with Mitzy's annoying occasional vomiting. The apartment was beautifully clean when we returned and she had even washed the towels for us. We would have no hesitation in recommending Fabiana for a housesit, especially if you have cats and especially if they have to be handled with delicacy.”
