Hi Everyone,
I am a friendly, very down to earth and responsible person. I have an intrinsic love of animals. (My last pet was a sweet border collie, but I have also had Chinchilla cats, canaries and parrots.)
I have owned various houses in Australia and overseas, and completely understand the need for reliability and responsibility for house sits.
Aside from enjoying looking after pets , I like walking, fishing and writing.
I value honesty, integrity and care and expect the same in return.
I have worked in the tv industry as a presenter/reporter/producer for more than 30 years in Australia and Europe. These days I work from home with the internet, so welI am ideally suited to this kind of lifestyle.

“Shane was a great house- and pet-sitter. He updated us throughout his stay, sending us messages, photos and videos of the house and our cat. He also brought in mail and mowed the lawn for us. When we returned from our holiday, the lawn was mown, the house was clean, the laundry was done and the cat was very content. We would happily have Shane back to house-sit for us again.”

“Shane looked after my house and 2 dogs while I was away for 2 plus weeks in April 2024. From the first contact to the time I returned home, my overall experience was great. While I was away, Shane maintained contact with me sending photos and messages that put my mind immediately to rest. I arrived home to find my dogs well looked after and the house and garden in great condition. You can trust your pets and house with Shane and I have no hesitation in inviting him back.”
