My name is James.
I am a mature, honest, responsible and reliable Australian, semi-retired, with over 6 years full time house and pet minding experience.
As I am a full time house sitter, I do not have any pets of my own.
I have over 70 5 star reviews.
I am Pfizer vaccinated,(including current booster dose and vaccine update),and flu vaccinated annually.
I am a non-smoker and of sober habits.
As I work from my laptop, I do ask if you have a reliable internet connection.
I am in the home environment most of the time, which means your home and beloved pets benefit from a virtual 24/7 personalized service.
I am also experienced in caring for pets that require medication, and/or require special care due to ongoing illness or trauma.
I have completed many house sitting assignments, looking after a variety of domestic pets (dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, guinea pigs) and farm animals (cows, bulls, goats, ducks, chickens, horses, and alpacas).
I'm particularly fond of all animals, and would enjoy the opportunity to care for your pets as my own.
My hobbies and interests include: singing and song writing, Yoga, Pilates, meditation, Tai Chi, and diet related health.
I also appreciate the value and importance of a home, and have always endeavoured to care for homes I live in as if they were my own.
I would be more than happy to chat with you about your house and pet sitting needs further at a mutually convenient time.

“Having James come out to house sit & look after our 2 doggos made our 5 week trip completely stress free! He loved and cared for the dogs and it was so nice to come home to a tidy house after a long trip. James kept us updated throughout our trip as to the wellbeing of our dogs and even changed his plans to accommodate us when I realised I had given him the wrong return date. The house was well kept and the lawns were even mowed for us! We would 100% recommend James!! Thank you so much :)”

“James did a wonderful job as our Housesitter, the house was clean and tidy, even washed his linen. We have a small Maltese pup who loved James and there were 6 chooks and budgies and canaries to care for. Hope he is available next time we need a sitter.”

“James was reliable in our home and provided a caring connection with our 3 dogs. He was excellent at providing eye care to all dogs and especially to one who required regular eye drops to clear up an issue. Upon return, the dogs were very calm and content.”

“We arrived home to happy, healthy looking dogs, and the very few smaller things (a mice migration following our late cat’s demise just before we left etc) we were already aware off, because of James regular updates. Often with photos. James dealt with the intruders better than we could have, and even taught us a few tips. Our house was tidy, organised & clean. Our plants cared for, our chooks & ducks well fed. We would definitely invite James again to housesit & recommend him sincerely.”

“James did a great job in looking after and caring for our loved Golden Retriever. James insisted on a contactless Zoom meeting and we showed him around the house and gardens via the iPad meeting We forwarded to him the house and dog instructions prior to the sit so he could ask any questions before we travelled overseas. After coming home we were very disappointed in the lack of care given to the garden. Large parts were dead due to a broken hose which was easily detected as soon as the tap went on. We left clear instructions on watering and hoses available but they don’t appear to have been followed. We understand that not all people are interested in gardens however if garden requirements are part of the sit, they should follow instructions or not apply for the position.”
