We are Yasha (Australian by birth) and Juergen (German by birth & Australian by choice). In our pre-nomadic life, Yasha taught high school maths and Juergen did web design, although travel was always a big part of our lives.
Since 2014, we had been travelling full-time in our self-built mobile home. First, we spent 4 years in South America and then about 3 and a half in Europe.
As a result of the pandemic, we finally arrived home in Australia in late October 2021, hoping to continue our nomadic life here in Australia.
Whilst we are not ready to stop travelling, we like to take a break from time to time, to experience life in a house, with a garden and, of course, some pets - one thing we miss a lot in our life.
We also like the opportunity to experience day-to-day life in a local community, by standing still for a time. This is not always possible in our camper home.
After caring for Tilly (a 16-year-old cat) in the UK in 2019, and 3 rescue dogs in Turkey in early 2020, the pandemic stopped us for a while. We then looked after 3 cats in a village near Koblenz, Germany in May 2021.
We believe our long, life experience provides us with the skills to take care of your invaluable home and your precious pets. And these experiences have borne that out.
Both of us have had many animals in our lives - dogs and cats. As a child, Yasha lived in the country - so also with chickens, pigs and the odd cow... She has a strong affinity with cats - she loves it when a cat, who doesn't know her, comes and sits on her lap, or even rubs around her ankles - sometimes to the surprise of their people.
Juergen is more of a dog person because he grew up with dogs. He loves to get them to play with him.
We are happy to have your dogs, cats, or both in our care.
We love them, but we realised pretty early that having our own pets was incompatible with our particular travelling lifestyle.
Having both been renters in our earlier adult lives and also landlords now, we fully appreciate the importance of taking care of homes that belong to others. During our 30+ years together we have been homeowners.
Juergen is very handy: he participated in the building of one of our homes, and completely renovated another, with only Yasha's help. He was also largely responsible for planning and planting or rejuvenating gardens around our homes - once again, with Yasha's help.
One of our properties was on several acres, so Yasha is experienced in pushing a lawnmower!
We also built our current home - the mobile one - together.

We are now home in Australia and would love to care for your home, pets & plants.
