Meow meow, woof woof, tweet tweet, yes, we are pet tragic’s. Just love em’. But on the serious side, extensive information about us follows.
We’re told this extensive info that follows helps make the whole process seamless, especially by first time users… Hoping you have a couple of minutes to read all ….
About us…… Monica and I have been enjoying life full-time pet sitting since 2021.
We pet/home sit on the North Gold Coast at 4216 and adjacent suburbs only and intend to indefinitely as we have built and are still building a portfolio of regular resits and dog walks at and near postcode 4216.
Pet sitting is our loved retirement occupation.
Of note is that we have the ability to overlap furpal sits as one of us can stay in each of the overlapping pet sits. It gives us the ability to do last minute sits for our regulars as well.
We are loving it!
Especially and added to the love we receive from the pets is the appreciation we receive from the grateful pet owners.
First up, often asked, and yes, police checks are done and available. We are COVID vaccinated, fit and physically capable of tasks requiring fitness as well, for example walking large dogs.
We’ve owned/loved a variety of pets- cats/dogs/fish/chickens/other birds and reptiles.
We are non-smokers and light to almost none drinkers.
We get out and about for a few hours only through the day and enjoy quiet TV days and nights at home with the furry or feathered pals.
We really enjoy the adventure of experiencing new pets and befriending the homeowners.
Areas we apply for are areas we have and want to do more pet and pet resits in.
You won’t be disappointed, we want you to have a worry free break and come home to happy fur pal/s/pets/animals with your castle in great steed.
We need GREAT reviews to continue this home sitting passion and that’s what we will be working for.
We have many five star reviews in other pet sitting directories as well.
We are hygienic, tidy and very respectful of others property including being respectful of the neighbours.
We have owned houses that have had pools so we know how to look after a swimming pool if need be.
On longer stays It’s no problem to mow and edge the lawn, water all plants, maintain the pool etc…
Also, it’s no problem if you have a relative or friend who wants to drop in for a cup of tea or coffee and chat any day unannounced to check that things are all hunky dory.
A pleasure to meet them actually.
We do not bring pets to pet sitting assignments.
The fact that you want pet sitters says a lot to us as it means that you love your pet/s dearly and want it/them cared for in their own home in which they are comfortable and familiar with.
We are familiar with strict diet and medical regimes for pets as well as having had older pets, special needs pets and foster rescue animals that have needed extra care and at times socialising of the rescue foster pets before they are rehomed in forever homes.
We have engaged pet sitters ourselves in the past and understand the value of having trustworthy, professional carers for your pets and home.
We take great pride in our reliability, professionalism and trustworthiness!
Our sports/activities include walking/dog walking and sailing, I (Bob) train on my Windsurfer (since the 80’s) and I still compete in local, state and National Windsurfer Class Titles, ancient mariner division of course:) I’m 67 years young and gratefully fit :)
I, Bob also have a sailboat which swings on anchor in the Labrador channel, another reason to housesit only at 4216.
All dwellings and critters, houses, cottages, cabins, units and townhouses are fine with us. Huge or tiny.
Photos or videos will be sent of your pet/s being spoilt. Not too many interruptions :-), you’re on holidays or in some cases an emergency or important non holiday event.
We will love and bond with your babies/pals, treasure and look after your home diligently, we just do!!!
Re Things we bring:
We are quite self-sufficient as we bring our own sheets, pillows, doonas, towels, toilet paper, laundry, kitchen and bathroom soaps and needs, favourite kitchen appliances, placemats, lounge throw overs, ye old faithful large kitchen cutting board and of course food.
FYI also, when our face-to-face/furpal meet & greet/interview/acceptance/familiarisation is substantially in advance of your departure we like and find that homeowners appreciate our text reconfirmations monthly, one week before and key pick up with a second familiarisation the day before departure.
“Piece of mind contacts” I call them.
And as is the norm also please provide written instructions on your pals feeding, meds if needed and exercise regime, likes and dislikes, issues if any with other animals and adults or children, etc.
Also as is the norm again :) pls provide all contacts you deem necessary, vet, neighbours, nearby family/friends and of course your best contact while away. If overseas or on a cruise we find emails or WhatsApp is be better.
But wait, there’s more :) not much.
…. Instructions on operating the TV if not a standard remote. Most controls are the same, a quick run through when we pick up the keys, which is usually the day before will suffice.
….. and Instructions on -
… . Yard, indoor and outdoor plant requirements and anything else you need done or feel we need to know.
…. and any idiosyncrasies on anything :-)
Thanking you very much for reading all, yes, it’s epic, but I feel answers most queries, particularly if it’s your first time requesting housesitters.
Hoping to hear from you soon, please contact here with any questions you have to then hopefully organise a phone chat, then a meet up.
Best wishes from Bob and Monica, hoping to make lifelong friends with you and your furpal/s along the way. :-)
