Retired couple in our 70s will let you relax while we look after your home and cherished animals. Our aim is to look after property and animals as supercarers, treating everything with the same tiptop love and care we would show to our own property and animals.
We have a passion for Australia, wildlife and travels. Travelling full time exploring on and offroad in Australia in our 4wd Toyota Coaster motorhome. We share a good sense of humour, adventure, and enjoy meeting people and all animals large and small to find out what makes them special. Quadruple vaccinated.
Rob grew up with golden retrievers, Pancho, Sherry, Leo, and an amazing blind black cat, Kinky, who had kinks in tail, Also a canary called Apollo. His grandfather was a farmer with cattle and chooks. An early happy memory is collecting the eggs. In earlier days as a backpacker, Rob looked after turkeys, especially the turkey hospital, on a turkey farm. Gen had a much loved Alsatian called Belle. As a couple we have had all sorts of pets. We are adept at feeding, grooming, medicating, cleaning, cuddling, and playing.
Our most recent housesits were in Rural Brisbane and Far North Queensland, looking after a host of characters: cattle dog, sheep dog, French bulldog, Pomeranian, jack russells, and some lovely properties with pool and garden maintenance.
Last year we housesat several weeks in a comfy house with animals on a 5ha bushblock just south of Darwin, NT. We cared for 3 x charmingly cute agile wallaby joeys, a cuddly KelpieX, and a mostly sleeping/brumating bearded dragon; and irrigated lawn and pot plants.
Prior to that, we farmsat a 5000ha wheat farm with 2 gorgeous dogs, 2 cuddly cats, alpacas, cows, chooks aplenty, and orchard, pot plants and veggie gardens to water.
Before that we housesat a lovely rural property outside Perth, with 12 champion laying chooks, 1 musical rooster, 15 wild woodducks, and many beautiful wildbird species to look after.
We have always kept our houses in impeccable shape. We owned a 5-bedroom house in the UK which we later rented out whilst we transitioned to Australia. Gen owned several rural cottages in Normandy, France with gardens and 2 hectares of fields to look after.
We are non-smokers and have rented with impeccable references in Australia in Sydney and Kiama in NSW, and in Cairns in QLD where we had a really large high maintenance tropical garden to tend.
