We are a couple that likes to help people out and enjoy exploring new places. Active and adventurous. Both love animals of all kinds. Happy to garden and keep your place the same as if it were our own. We sometimes travel with our van and other times without. Your needs and your pets needs are our primary focus and we get the bonus of exploring your neck of the woods. We are both fit, active, hard working and honest. We are both non smokers and essentially non drinkers. We have 4 grandchildren, 2 grandpuppies and 2 grandcats.
Alan is an Army veteran with 20 years service followed by 11 years in own business (garden maintenance and mowing) Retired 3 years ago after 15 years as a Corrections Officer.
Jo has been a full time mum, part time hospitality worker followed by full time retail worker, medical receptionist and office manager until she retired 2 years ago.

“It is often difficult for us to go away as we are saddled with two Giant Schnauzers that control our lives but we would not have it any other way but you just have to make the break sometimes. So we went online and searched some Housesitter sites and discovered lots of very good people. But after talking with a lot we settled on Jo and Alan Swinbourn from Canberra who were wandering around Queensland to avoid the colder climes of the ACT. We met with them and agreed that they would take the house and Dogs for five weeks while we headed for Asia. It was certainly the right decision as we had a wonderful time and without any problems from home. And we returned home very late on a cold Friday night with a large pot of winter soup to greet us. Lyndal and I take pleasure in recommending Alan and Jo for house sitting Assignments across the board and especially those that include animal minding duties.”

“What wonderful people! We were truly blessed to have Jo and Alan look after our cat and home. Took care of everything with great attention to detail. Kept in touch throughout our holiday and sent photos of our cat. Looked after the plants, the garden and the cars. You could not find better house sitters. We were very happy and highly recommend these lovely people!”
