My husband Duncan and I are currently in our early 60's and self funded retirees. I previously worked as a public servant, a naturopath/massage therapist and a community carer. Duncan was in the army for 20 plus years and then worked as a Social worker with Care and Protection and NGO's for over 20 years. Duncan and I both have had Police Checks, Working with Vulnerable People checks and have First Aid Certificates. We have 4 grown up children and at the moment 7 grandchildren. We are homeowners and have a property on the Central Coast which we are currently renting out while we enjoy our time travelling. We have extensive experience in housesitting for friends and relatives as well as house sits through Mindahome. These sits have involved caring for a variety of pets and ensuring the property is correctly maintained. We are both caring, reliable and conscientious people. Duncan and I are both non smokers. Duncan loves playing golf and some gardening whilst I enjoy cooking.

“Sarah and Duncan were amazing. My old very set in their ways pets were catered for in every way. Sarah even chose to sleep with my dogs so that they felt settled. My cat caused a few very anxious moments but Sarah and Duncan handled all eventful moments perfectly. We came home to happy pets and a clean house with milk and bread ready to go. Thankyou to a wonderful couple and for the constant communication.”

“I spent one month overseas, and Sarah and Duncan stayed at my house to look after my dog, Frida (a staffy). They were absolutely amazing! They kept me regularly updated about Frida, which gave me so much peace of mind. When I returned, I found my dog healthy, super happy—and the house… oh my God! So clean! They had cleaned spots I’ve never even touched. They even left some food in the fridge for me. Everything was perfect. They truly went above and beyond. They followed all my instructions and did even more than I asked for. I would absolutely be happy to call them again to look after Frida! Thank you so much for everything.”

“Sarah and Duncan were fabulous. My home when I returned from a three week holiday was left the same way as I left it. My dog had a hot spot which was attended to daily and had completely healed on my return. I received updates and photos. There was more food leftover from their visit than what was left. I highly recommend Sarah and Duncan and wish them all the best!”

“This was our first time using housesitters and we were so lucky to find Sarah and Duncan. I felt so comfortable and confident they were the perfect sitters for us after our first catch-up. Our dog, Leroy is a bit if a fussy eater and has to be given daily meds and we'd had a couple of unsatisfactory experiences with pet boarding. We came home to a lovely clean house and a very happy dog! Thank you Sarah and Duncan for making our first big international trip worry free when it came to the care of Leroy and our home!”

“Sarah and Duncan are lovely people and we are thrilled we chose them to Housesit. They are easy to communicate with and always responsive in a timely manner. They were very respectful of our home and it felt well cared for on our return. They seem to have served our cats as they expect to be served - as gods!!! The garden was well tended. The house was exceptionally clean and well presented when we got home which lovely.”
