I am a Justice of the Peace and John is a robotics engineer from a farming background and has a strong interest in environmental science.
We have now completed over 120 house sits. We like repeat house sits and are available for house sits of 2 weeks or more, in Tasmania, Queensland or Norfolk Island.
John works from his laptop and Alicia is retired. Responsible and reliable, with police checks and identity verified, we are both vaccinated and with boosters.
We do not have our own pets and do not have children.
We have had pets all our lives and have also helped many people select their new family member as a job. I have volunteered with the Animal Welfare League and we both love all animals and will respect your home.
We know that one of the biggest concerns would be that your house-sitter actually follows through after confirming a house-sit with you. Last year John had a hospital stay (better now) and I still honoured the house sit. We will only cancel under extreme circumstances and with plenty of notice. You can proceed with your holiday plans with peace of mind.
We are able to easily follow directions and will communicate well with you. Your home will be as clean and tidy as you left it, and your pets will be given love and attention. We can bring our own bed linen if that is what you would prefer.
My partner and I are non- smokers, easy going and reliable. We love animals and because we are unable to have any where we live, it will be a real treat to look after yours!

“We engaged Alicia and John after being let down by another sitter 3 weeks out from our trip however luckily Alicia and John applied after relisting our home. First time using a house sitter so we were a little pensive however with good communication from John and Alicia and regular updates our minds were quickly put at ease. Communication was easy and accurate. Our pets were very well looked after and well loved. “Alicia and John were fantastic sitters. This was my first time having house sitters, they made this experience very easy and gave me peace of mind. They took very good care of my 2 dogs by taking them for regular walks, playing and cuddling with them and even got them some treats (asked for my permission first). They sent me regular photos and videos of the dogs which was lovely. I came home to a very tidy house and some food in the fridge as I got home on a late flight, this was a lovely thought from them. I would highly recommend Alicia and John and will be using them again to look after my fur babies.”

“Omg, wow ! What a perfect experience we had with Alicia! She was so great with communicating, she obviously loved on our cat and she left our place immaculate+ we came home to a meal!! “Alicia responded to my late notice advert and was ready to start straight away! She explained the mindahome procedures and was courteous and honourable despite my late response to some messages. I got videos of my cat, who was settled when we returned, making us know he had been well cared for. Would recommend :)”

“Outstanding Housesitters Alicia and John are outstanding, they go above and beyond. From the moment they arrived, their warmth and kindness put me at ease. Their exceptional communication, regular updates and adorable photos of Millie and Louie made my time away stress free. Despite a two-hour drive, they met my dogs beforehand, showing genuine interest in their well-being. Alicia and John kept the house spotless and provided exceptional care for my beloved pups. And the delightful surprise? Alicia’s home-cooked meal and those heavenly muffins! These thoughtful gestures set her apart.
