Hi there! We’re Sophie and Jordan, an easy-going couple in our early 30s originally from Melbourne who have been living in Sydney since May 2023. Since making the move, we’ve been embracing the joy of pet-sitting!
Sophie is a lawyer and Jordan is an engineer. With flexible jobs that let us work from anywhere, we started house and pet-sitting as a way to explore more of Sydney, connect with like-minded people, and care for their adorable pets. We work in the city/North Sydney several days a week but we can take turns working from home, ensuring your furry friends get plenty of companionship during the day.
So far, we’ve been lucky enough to meet pups including Baxter (8 y/o Beagle-Cavalier X), Gnocchi (1 y/o Sheepadoodle), Ren (2 y/o Whippet Kelpie X), Bert (9 y/o Greyhound), Roey (3 y/o Lagotto), Lochie (Mini Foxy), Bella (Blue Heeler X), Rikki (10 y/o Greyhound), Mabel (2 y/o Whippet X), and Nils (2 y/o Golden Retriever). We’ve also cared for the sweetest cats, including Lotte, Blue, Éclair, Milli, Lilly, Shiraz, Alex, Yoshi, Kenzo, Nermal, and Tofu. Plus, we’ve looked after chickens, fish, and even a snake!
We've cared for pets that have special needs and medication requirements, as well as young, large and/or energetic dogs, and pets with separation anxiety. We’re warm, communicative, and understand how nerve-wracking it can be to entrust your pets and home to someone else. Rest assured, we’ll treat your furry family members as if they were our own—showering them with love, attention, and plenty of exercise. The many positive reviews on our page should give you a sense of how we approach our pet-sits.
Before moving to Sydney, Sophie often helped friends and family with their pets and regularly dog-sat for mini-huskies Georgie and Poppy. Jordan, meanwhile, grew up in a home filled with animals—always at least two dogs and cats, along with budgies, fish, rabbits, guinea pigs, and even a goat and a cow at one point!
In our downtime, we love being outdoors, especially near the ocean, and enjoy hiking, surfing, camping and traveling. We have even taken some of the pups we've looked after on weekends away with us (with the owners' full permission of course!)
