Hi, I’m Kara!
I’m a 42y/o non-smoking, experienced house sitter who loves animals and takes pride in caring for homes like they’re my own. Over the years, I’ve looked after everything from anxious rescue dogs and energetic working breeds to older cats, kittens, chickens, ducks, and even small hobby farms. I’m also confident in maintaining gardens and indoor plants.
I teach at university, both on campus and online, which gives me a flexible schedule, ideal for spending quality time with pets and keeping them company throughout the day. I’ve had a high-energy rescue dog of my own in the past, and I’ve also been on the other end of house sitting, so I understand how important it is to feel confident when leaving your home and pets in someone else’s care.
I’m often described as tidy, reliable, respectful, and easy to communicate with. I’ve been invited back repeatedly by those I house-sit for, which I take pride in as a sign of the care and attention I bring to looking after both pets and homes.
A few things about me:
• Neat, organised, and trustworthy with your home and
garden
• Lots of experience with animals, including rescues
• Flexible schedule, your pets won’t be left alone all
day
• Friendly, easy-going, and responsive
At the moment, I’m looking for house-sitting opportunities in the lead-up to heading back to Canada for a few months over summer (between semesters). I’m happy to provide references or answer any questions, reach out!
