Hello there, I have 5 house sits under my belt now and it’s been a great experience. I missed having a dog of my own and now have little Annie (chocolate Cavoodle) alongside me and I hope to continue the journey of house sitting and enjoying different places to stay.
I’m virtually retired (for now anyway!)
I am an easy going, conscientious lady who is up to speed on what it takes to look after a house and home. I will be committed to keeping it clean and tidy, respectfully residing in your home and looking after pets just as you would like me to. I know people have different levels of spoiling their animals!
I am up for slower, gentle walks more so rather than long country hikes. I have issues with my Achilles which prevents me walking fast. I do also prefer a low set house or an apartment with a lift for this reason. Hugs and company I can definitely provide!
I have a common sense approach to life and although I love walking and outdoor activities I consider myself a bit of a homebody, happily staying home the majority of the days. I like to read, crochet, sew and do a few other little craft projects, also listening to music. I enjoy gardening and being outside enjoying the lovely south east Queensland areas.
I have two adult children and three grandchildren. I am a grand babysitter for Murphy, a Cavoodle and Wilfred, a Sheep a doodle. Both fur balls are young and playful and I’m confident and competent in handling their training needs and needs for pats and love when their families go away.
I am experienced with different types of animals having owned a poultry farm for 20 years in the past, having acreage we also had cows, a horse, dogs, cats and birds. I have housetrained puppies and understand the need to be consistent, gentle, loving and to watch out for them as they get into everything!! I hope housesitting can become my way of experiencing new areas, towns and suburbs.
I have a police check and a reference for a past sit I did for a friend. I hope to get more references as people give me go :)
