Hi, we are Christine and Arnie. We live in Burns Beach in the city of Perth in Western Australia. We enjoy our home and the animals and the garden. We love to travel and retired in January 2016. Arnie is an ex primary school principal and I have always worked in human resources/administration. In February 2016, we spent nearly 10 months travelling the US in an old RV. We then returned to Perth and in early 2017 we decided to do some volunteer work. We went to West Sumatra in Indonesia from June 2017 to June 2018. This was a wonderful experience. We returned in mid 2018 and have spent our time being with family and fixing up our house. I do voluntary crisis supporter work with Lifeline which is wonderful. I also volunteer at the Red Cross Emergency area and a local Op shop. We have recently commenced volunteering with the Red Cross soup patrol.
In 2020, we were going will travel Australia in our camper however, Covid happened and we stayed in WA. We have three grandkids and enjoy our time with them and our children. In April this 2023, we left Perth in our caravan to travel Australia.
We spent 11 months on the road. Whilst travelling, we house sat out side Brisbane looking after an alpaca, a very elderly cat and some chooks, in Nelson Bay, NSW, looking after 2 days and in Sydney looking after 2 dogs and some fish.
We arrived back in West Australia in March and as our home in Perth was rented out until July 2024, we house and farm sat many places until we moved back into our home. We had a wonderful experience.
We sold the caravan and bought a motorhome and are planning to head off again next April.
Life is wonderful. We feel blessed.
