Retired business owner & chicken breeder of 22 breeds. Covid upset the apple cart so I sold my house & after the death of my daughter 2 years ago I decided to help people get away for holidays. People have made my life surprisingly good and I want to return the favor. I travel with my 15yo rescue dog Roy. He is an inside dog we are both still acclimatizing. I’ve come north so he doesnt have to suffer another cold winter he has arthritis in one paw.
Pets take to me really fast. So whatever your pet we will get on just fine.
One of my first house sits I was teaching Odie how to fetch so when his owners got back they would be able to play ball or stick with him. We have had our first successful retrieval. So adorable and so much fun.
Roy is great with cats too. If I say, “leave the pussy alone,” he doesn’t chase them or bother them he walks around them being careful not to disturb them.
I am retired so spend all day at home
Except for walks. We love to go for walks. So your pets will not be lonely as there will always be someone around. I am not sure how much longer Roy will be will me for. He may or may not be with me for your housesit.
I included a picture of Dexter a very needy staff I looked after he would have an afternoon nap with me and lay his head on the pillow next to mine. Whatever is required…
