Animal, nature and garden lover(happy to indulge in gardening at yours!). Experienced in country living eg water saving, fire risks etc. Practical and good in an emergency.
Responsible and respectful of others and their property.
I have always had pets and cared for other people's, including German Shepherds, Jack Russell, Great Danes, spaniels, cats, horses, donkeys, chooks, fish a cockatiel and more!
My previous work experience is: Youth worker, B&B and wedding manager, grape picker in the Barossa and 'floater' on Lizard Island in my younger days.
Have been carer for my mother and her dog for 10 years
and recently sold my restaurant of 19 years, so I am heading off on a much anticipated road trip.
Looking forward to some animal companions and home comforts by housesitting along the way, taking time to explore.

“We loved having Sandy look after Bailey. Bailey also loved having Sandy look after him :) Sandy's very lovely and exactly the person you want taking care of things when are you not around. We came back to a super organised home and while we were away Sandy went out of her way to help with another family member above and beyond, which was truly appreciated. We'd love to have Sandy back any other time.”

“Highly recommended. This was my first experience at having a house sitter and Sandy surpassed all expectations. Not only were the animals relaxed and happy when I came home, but she tackled my larder and laundry with missionary zeal and made them both beautifully shipshape. And the garden!! She actually asked to stay a few more days to do more gardening and I was very glad to have her.”

Communicated clearly, read and respected my notes about Digger and my home, cleaned and tidied, didn’t hesitate to contact me if there was something she wasn’t sure about, came and went exactly when she said she would, even washed her bedding (not at all necessary, but appreciated).
