We are a pair of SA besties who are now free to explore and experience all that house sitting near nature, cycle and produce trails has to offer. We love being near water, whether it be a lake, a river or ocean, as well as the smaller more rural communities.
Favourite spots- Kangaroo Island, Hawkesbury, Bellingen, Bermagui.
I’m a cat owner (ginger tabby named Squid) and have volunteer experience with RSPCA caring for both cats and dogs, my partner has raised and cherished 2 family dogs in his lifetime.
Huw is now living with partial paralysis due to suffering decompression sickness on a scuba dive 4 years ago.
He is able to walk short distances up to 50m with aid of a walking stick and can manage stairs, although preference is for majority living bedroom and bathroom to be on one level for ease of daily mobility.
Otherwise though, Huw has an engineering background and is great at ‘fixing things’ as well as useful on a ride on mower.
Huw also has a boat licence and can manage smaller watercraft with my assistance.
Our ebikes allow Huw and I to get outdoors in the fresh air and exercise and adventure together, which would otherwise not be possible, and play an important role in Huw maintaining a positive outlook on life.
We pride ourselves on being respectful house guests with both Airbnb and Mindahome reviews to substantiate this, and we both have National Police Clearances.
I live in Aldinga Beach, while Huw lives at Sellicks Hill in his home he built himself prior to his accident.
