We're a retired couple in our early 60s. We're both non-smokers.
We each have a National Police Certificate.
We retired in 2021 and went overseas traveling for 3 years and returned to Australia in May 2024 to spend time with our family.
We are from South Australia and want to explore the rest of Australia more. We have the opportunity to care for other people's pets and homes.
We like being with animals and happy going for a walk, keeping as fit as we can, while Fido has his fun and stretches. It's nice to be spending time with pets, giving pats and scritches, belly rubs and ear rubs!
We don't have any pets of our own so it's great to be with someone else's!
Now early 2026 we're in Victoria, SA and southern NSW. So many more beautiful places we've yet to visit.
We're both very clean and house proud, security conscious and enjoy gardening. Dave has experience with looking after swimming pools and likes to keep a neat, tidy lawn.

“So glad Mary-anne and Dave were able to house sit and care for our dog, cat and birds. We were kept up to date with photos and messages the whole time we were away. I'm pretty sure none of our our pets missed us at all. Our home and garden was immaculate. Even our neighbours miss them. “Mary-Anne and Dave looked after our house and dog for three weeks whilst we were overseas. We had never used housesitters before and upon meeting Mary-Anne and Dave any concerns we had, were quickly gone. They are a lovely, friendly couple who take their housesitting responsibilities seriously. We returned to a happy and very calm dog (I think she liked them better than us) and an immaculately clean home. Dave kept our pool clean and mowed our acreage lawns!! We were also left with some supplies to help us settle back home after our long flights. If you are looking for quiet, reliable housesitters who are trustworthy and will take care of your home as if it’s their own, then please book Mary-Anne and Dave. We are so grateful to them for making our time away stress free. They will be our first contact should we need housesitting again.”

“We are grateful to have found Dave and Mary-Anne on this site. Eazy going and competent people. Dave sorted out a tree down over phone lines and a bathroom leak while Mary-Anne contacted Telstra and us for repairs to be carried out. We came home to happy pets and a very clean house. The garden was taken care of in extreme heat. We also trusted them to walk our reactive dogs.”

“Thankyou so much Mary-anne and Dave for minding our home and looking after Lucy so professionally while we were away ( I don't think Lucy even missed us!). We returned to a house that was left perfectly. Even the furniture was dusted and a meal left in the fridge for us when we returned home on a late night flight. We could not have asked for better house sitters and would highly recommend Mary-anne & Dave. We will definitely be calling them next time we travel.”
