We are Rob and Sue. I am a Mechanical engineer with Production and Sales management experience. Now semi-retired, we are travelling Australia in our caravan, farm/house sitting along the way. I was brought up on National Parks in East Africa and farms/ranch/remote properties in Zimbabwe. Whilst living at Nairobi National Park, one of my first “pets” was a lion cub that had been orphaned. I am good with all animals, enthusiastic, and like to keep busy.
Sue is also from Zim', but don't hold that against us. We are Australians now, and are so grateful to you guys for letting us in. Australia is such a great country.

Sue was a marketing assistant in our life on the treadmill, but now she chases her passion of painting seascapes, landscapes and animals.

I am good at general maintenance, carpentry, grounds work, vehicle and general farm maintenance. If there are things that you need doing in and around the home/yard, then I can help. I am also understanding if you want things left alone.

We are personable people and like to make a difference for the better in whatever we do.
Photography is one of my interests that keeps me well entertained.

Brisbane has been our base for the past 23 years, where we have raised 2 wonderful children to be well balanced, responsible adults. Our daughter is a fashion designer in London and our son is a Mechanical Engineer in Brisbane. You may conclude that the apple hasn't fallen far from the tree.
In Brisbane, we have owned/own a couple of properties, and that brings an appreciation of the value of your bricks and mortar.

We hope that we can meet in person one day and help you out with your "sit".

“Sue & Rob stayed at our house for two weeks over Christmas. I could not recommend them highly enough for prospective clients. They looked after our home as if it were theirs and treated it with the upmost respect. They also kept the garden watered and tidy and mowed the lawns . They had two unruly dogs, 2 cats and three chooks to look after. Not once was I worried. They sent us photos of them all to keep us up to speed and to ease our minds. We have made two lovely friends in the process.”

“Sue and Rob were wonderful. They looked after our old cat George so well. He requires medicine on his meal three times a day which he received, and he was spoiled rotten with walks around the garden. They sent regular updates and photos of George’s activities and he bonded with them easily. They looked after our many potted plants and veggie beds, and left our home spotless. They communicated well before, during and after the stay. I wish I could have them stay every time we go away. They are delightful folk and I wish them well in their travels. Hope we meet again.”

“Rob and Sue were the perfect house sitters. Not only did they care for our two doggies but also looked after our house and garden as we would. They kept in touch providing regular up dates on our doggies whilst we were away, providing them with all the care and attention required. The house was left very clean and the garden was maintained. We would certainly have Rob and Sue house sit for us again and would highly recommend them. Thank you both for house sitting for us.”

“We feel so lucky to have found Rob and Sue. Right from the moment we started communicating, they put our minds at ease and we never worried about our houes or pets . They are such lovely people and took amazing care of our pets and house while away. For example, we have a very old cat who was on current medication which made her stop eating. We were so worried about her as we left, but Sue and Rob did an amazing job with her and when we got back, she was a picture of health. Our house actually looked better than when we left! Rob was amazing and fixed some things for us around the house to keep him occupied. Plenty of updates were sent and all of our animals were so happy . It was a pleasure meeting you two, and wish you all the best with future travels.”

“Rob and Sue were dream sitters. They are not only honest and reliable, but they are genuinely nice people who care about your home and animals. Rob and Sue came a few days early to make sure they understood what was required in our absence. They sent us regular updates of farm life along with pics and vids of the cattle and budgies. We didn't once worry about the cattle or birds while we were away over the 3 weeks. Rob did some odd jobs around the house and we felt very lucky! Sue weeded the garden and kept on top of chores like watering plants, feeding birds. Would have them back anytime. Beautiful people and it was a pleasure to have met them.”
