I’m Kara, a trusted and experienced house and pet sitter who loves caring for animals of all kinds and treating every home as my own.
I’m a 41-year-old professional with a heart for animals, a deep respect for the homes I care for, and a lifestyle grounded in calm, kindness, and responsibility.
I live a clean, healthy life, I don’t smoke, drink, or use drugs, and I thrive on practices that keep me balanced, like yoga, meditation, sound healing, and surfing. I also love reading, travelling, and being in nature. House and pet sitting allows me to combine the things I value most: caring for animals, exploring new places, and honouring the trust of others.
I run a national disability company remotely, which gives me the flexibility to take on house and pet sits across Australia and aboard. Having raised my son (now 23) and being a homeowner myself on the beautiful south coast of NSW, I understand the importance of creating a safe, cared-for, and welcoming space. I always treat every home as if it were my own, leaving it spotless and secure.
I’ve cared for a wide variety of pets, from energetic puppies to elderly animals needing medication, as well as anxious dogs who require patience and calm. I also have experience caring for cats, birds, chickens, and farm animals, and I bring the same level of patience, consistency, and genuine affection to each one.
Homeowners regularly leave me glowing five-star reviews, appreciating not only how happy and relaxed their pets are, but also how well-kept their homes are on their return. Recent sits include a month in Hobart with two gorgeous dogs, and another month on the Central Coast with a beautiful blue cattle dog. At the moment I am finishing a month long sit in Wilson’s creek (Northern Rivers NSW), looking after two Great Danes and the 55 acres of land they call home!
I’m happy to travel anywhere in Australia or abroad for the right sit. I’ve spent time in Queensland, all over New South Wales, Tasmania, and Melbourne, and I love exploring new places while providing reliable care for homes and pets.
