I am newly retired (ex teacher and casino area manager) and am now ready to meet the pets of Australia whilst being able to see and experience new places. I am married but my husband is still working. While I am waiting for him to retire I would like to build up a great Mindahome profile. I have recently completed an RSPCA Pet First Aid Course and have an up to date police check. I am now excited and ready to go :)
I grew up on a large beef and lamb farm in South Gippsland and still spend much of my free time on the farm. I am very comfortable looking after most farm animals. My real love is for dogs (cats come a close second). My own dog, Gadget the West Highland Terrier, passed away a few years ago and since then I have got my animal fix through looking after family members, friends and neighbour's pets. I consider myself to be caring, kind, responsible and very trust worthy. I would definitely look after your house as if it was my own and ensure that your pets are well cared for and loved to the max!
My other hobbies include bush walking, bike riding, watching AFL and reading.

“Gayle and John were the absolute perfect house sitters. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for someone to look after their home and pets as if they are their own. Gayle communicated very clearly and openly in the lead up and during the housesit. I felt totally comfortable with the care of our dog as well as making sure they both had a great time at our home. The house was immaculate, Daisy brushed and the lawn was mowed which was really over and above. Thank you Gayle, we would love to have you as guests again soon.”

“Gayle is Molly's new best friend. Gayle threw the ball for Molly, walked her, took her to the beach, fed her, brushed her, comforted her during a storm and spent a lot of time with her. Gayle got Molly into a routine and Molly behaved very well for her. She also sent us photos and communicated with us about Molly. Our house, garden and hothouse were well looked after. Inside, the furniture was dusted, and the floors were swept, washed and vacuumed. The bedding and towels used were washed and on the clothes line. The kitchen area was very clean and tidy. The hothouse and vege garden were watered regularly and are looking very healthy. The fish were well fed and appear to be very healthy. I would not hesitate to recommend Gayle for any house sitting positions that she applies for, especially those involving dogs. An exceptional sitter.”

“Highly Recommend! 5 Stars! Gayle looked after our two Burmese fur kids and home while we were away. Communication was excellent as we received updates and pics. We arrived home to two happy fur kids, clean house; Gayle even made us shortbread, leaving a beautiful thankyou card also, which was a lovely thought. She was flexible with starting the housesit a little earlier than expected which we were most grateful for. Happy to recommend Gayle to anyone who needs a trusty house and pet sitter.”

“We feel fortunate to have found Gayle on mindahome. Our much loved dog Bear, was so well cared for and loved with daily walks, ball throws and cuddles. He definitely missed Gayle on our return! Gayle truly did look after not only Bear but our home as if it was her own. The house was spotlessly clean on our return and after a delayed flight we were so grateful for the homemade nourishing soup left for us and fresh milk in the fridge for the morning. We highly recommend Gayle and would love to have her back in the future.”

“Gayle was a perfect fit for us. She was caring, highly responsible and great with communication. We were able to completely relax, knowing that Kimba was in very good hands. She obviously bonded with Gayle and enjoyed their twice daily walks all around the area. The house was immaculate, all bedding was washed and dried and we appreciated the freshly baked shortbreads.”
