We have been in Australia for over 21 years, originally from Brazil. We lived 4 years in Brisbane and 14 years in Darwin before moving to Sydney in 2022.
Our 16y old son Daniel was born in Darwin. He enjoys reading, plays basketball and also used to work as a basketball referee. He became an Australian Defense Cadet in 2024.
Selma worked on the nutrition field for many years working on a range of roles including Lecturer at the Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane, Public Health Nutritionist and Research Fellow in Darwin, NT. After a long trip overseas in 2019, Selma changed carrier and has been enjoying working as a group fitness instructor.
Jose has worked as an Agricultural Scientist for about 30 years and currently is enjoying some time off.
We have been house sitting in Sydney since June 2022 and looked after over 20 houses for periods ranging from 4 days to up to 7 months. We have looked after dogs, cats, chickens, ducks, sheep, alpaca and horse, young to old, small to large dogs, some of them requiring medication (ear drops, oral and injection).
We have been very lucky looking after many sweet and well behaved dogs and cats. We have also been very lucky with pet owners who provided good communication with clear information before and during the house sittings. We have been enjoying looking after dogs and cats and keeping the owners house clean and tidy.
Jose has a police clearance and Selma has a working with children check which includes the police clearance. We are non-smokers and enjoy a healthy lifestyle.
We became members of this website in Feb 2025 and are still learning how to navigate on this website. We are members of the Aussie House Sitters since 2022 with excellent reviews.
