*No longer looking for house sits*
Hi, we are Rachel (34) and Ben (34).
We are relocating to Tasmania after 7 months of overseas travel. We have organised house sits for July, August, September and early October 2025, and are now looking to secure a house sit for the rest of October.
We both grew up in South Australia, but have spent the last 10 years living in Queensland, and are ready for some cooler weather :) Ben’s mum was born in Launceston, so we have both spent a lot of time in Tasmania visiting family and also travelling and hiking.
A house sit will be a perfect way to set ourselves up in Hobart without the stress of finding a rental and work straight away.
We both absolutely love animals and have experience house and pet sitting in QLD. We are happy to provide references.
We love animals so much that we’re vegan and have been for nearly two decades. However, we are completely comfortable feeding meat to cats and dogs, so this will not be a problem!!
We also live a a clean lifestyle and don’t drink or smoke, and like to get up early and go for walks. As we have been travelling, we are very much looking forward to spending time with animals in a home again.
We both enjoy gardening and were renting a cabin on a 2 acre property where we had a small veggie garden prior to travelling. Ben has also worked in garden maintenance previously, at a large property in the Adelaide Hills as well as resorts in Noosa.
