My name is Cat. I am an experienced pet and home sitter in Australia and overseas. I have a current police check.
I am a responsible, sensible, clean, joyous and playful 38 year old artist, creative arts therapist and massage therapist that adores animals. Especially cats.
Cats usually warm to me very quickly (even those that don't warm to many others). If the cats are stubbornly aloof or wary i respect their space and attune to their needs from a safe distance (that they feel comfortable with). I manage to form strong bonds with cats in the long run.
With animals, routine is key and whilst i need to adapt pet and house sitting to my lifestyle and work as a disability support worker. I aim to work alongside the pet owners and animals in a flexible way to provide optimal pet care.
I grew up with dogs, rabbits and birds. So i can also look after dogs, birds, chickens and rabbits.
I am interested in poetry, philosophy, art, literature, diverse cultures and travel. I enjoy writing, meditation, bodywork and diverse holistic healing modalities. I eat organic food and live a healthy and sustainable lifestyle. I have returned to Australia after living abroad for 5 years and the flexibility of pet and house sitting is the perfect circumstance to assist my reintegration back home. Having the connection with nature via way of bonding with animals is a deeply healing experience for me and the pet in a positive co-regulation dynamic.
