Hello! We’re Jenni & Haakon – a married, responsible, and nature-loving couple from Germany. :))
We have a big love for animals and a deep respect for other people’s homes. After spending three years living and working in New Zealand, we returned to Germany – and now we’re finally back on the road, travelling and exploring again. We’re so excited to return to Australia after 10 years – and to finally explore its beautiful West Coast!
🌿 Our experience
In New Zealand, we gained extensive hands-on experience in house sitting, pet care, and farm life. For almost a year, we lived on a sheep and beef farm, where we cared for sheepdogs, chickens, and cats, helped with gardening and general maintenance, and supported sheep and cattle work in the yards.
We’ve also done several WWOOFing stays and lived in homes where animal care and house sitting were part of our everyday routine.
Back in Germany, we regularly looked after dogs for friends and acquaintances – as we genuinely enjoy forming bonds with animals and love their unique personalities.
🏡 Why house sitting?
House sitting allows us to combine two things we value deeply: being close to animals and living mindfully in different places.
Since we both work online, we spend a lot of time at home – so we can give your pets the company and attention they deserve throughout the day. Whether it’s going for walks, cuddle time, feeding routines, or simply being present – your animals will always come first.
🧘♀️ Our lifestyle
We’re calm, clean, and organised people who love being in nature, going for long walks (we once hiked 3000km, the length of New Zealand!), doing Yoga and enjoying quiet mornings with a good coffee.
You can trust us to treat your home with care and respect – just as if it were our own.
