Hi 👋

I’m a semi-retired non-smoking nurse with a lifelong love for animals and a down-to-earth approach to life. I grew up on a cattle property, surrounded by all sorts of animals—dogs, cats, horses, goats, cattle, and a variety of birds—so caring for animals has always come naturally to me.

I’ve been house and pet sitting for several years now and truly enjoy the trust that comes with looking after someone’s home and furry (or feathered!) family. I’m reliable, respectful, and take pride in keeping a clean, safe, and calm environment for both pets and homes.

I live a healthy active lifestyle and love being outdoors. I’m also more than happy to take care of your garden—plants bring me joy, and I’m always glad to keep them thriving while you’re away.

Whether it’s giving your pets plenty of love and attention, maintaining your home with care, or just providing peace of mind while you’re away, I’m here to help. I have my own transport and no caravan. Would prefer written instructions on all requirements.

“I had the pleasure of meeting Shelley when she house sat for me in Oct/Nov, minding my lovely Ragdoll cat. Shelley went above and beyond to more than meet my expectations. She tended to my garden and pot plants and I notice the plants are thriving. She looked after them better than I could. I must find out her secret! My home was spotless when I returned and she even found the time to tidy up my freezer and sort it. Shelley is an interesting girl, and very confident. I have no hesitation in recommending Shelley to anyone looking for a house sitter who goes above and beyond. In fact I am hoping she is available for my next trip.”

“Michelle house-sat for us for three weeks under quite difficult circumstances, as we had contractors working on a retaining wall. The weather was extremely hot and dry, and with the fence down, conditions were dusty and dirty. Despite all this, Michelle managed to keep all my pot plants and hanging baskets alive, and she maintained the house and verandas beautifully clean. She left her room and bathroom spotless. Michelle was also very kind and loving to our three little house dogs and our cat. They were all happy and relaxed on our return — even our most needy little dog, who she managed wonderfully. I have already asked Michelle to house-sit for us again in 2026 and would have no hesitation in recommending her for any future house-sitting opportunities. Warm regards, Rosemary Turnbull”
