We (Andrew and Nikki) are an energetic, animal loving, former professional, retired couple with a great deal of experience in looking after people’s animals in their own homes.

We have looked after a variety of animals – dogs both big and small, cats, guinea pigs, cockatiels, as well as bigger animals such as horses and cows in various different locations. At one sit Andrew had to put a coat on two horses and take them off at night. And at another he cleaned the hoofs of two small horse breeds. Andrew has lived on a farm and has some experience with livestock. He is also very handy and often fixes things at houses.
Long walks are Andrew’s speciality and dogs, especially, love him for the amount of exercise he provides.
We live in Canberra but we travel around Australia during the winter months. We have house sitters in the house back home while we are away and we use Mindahome to find sitters, as well as house sitting opportunities for ourselves. We like to break our travel with stints of house sitting in warmer climes.
We will be available from June to September anywhere in the Queensland coastal areas, south of Mackay.
The first photo is of Andrew with Skipper, the Golden Cocker Spaniel we looked after who became very fond of his foster father. The second photo is of Hugo, the Neopolitan Mastiff with Nikki. We looked after him at a Brisbane housesit. He was a huge 72 kg but gentle dog.
We love all dogs, big or small. And we also like cats and looked after many.
