Introducing Paul:
In good health non-smoker. Prefer a quiet lifestyle. No partner on the horizon. Enjoy the company that comes with social outings. Enjoy listening to music and being outdoors in nature.

Love my Border Collie "Minty" (female 11 year old). She is desexed, in good health for her age, friendly with other dogs and safe around children. Her vaccinations are current and has microchip. Minty is familiar with cats, chickens and other animals in general.

My previous professions include Counsellor, documentary filmmaker, electronics technician ex-military.

I did spend 12 months in China as a contract English teacher.

I have five grand-children.

Occasionally enjoy photography and acrylic painting. Outdoor activities hiking camping cycling and kayaking . Singer musician ukulele.

I have been house sitting for the past 8 years and in that time had experience with most pets.

I do prefer house sits that run for medium to long term (4-6+ weeks 6 months+) but will consider any house sit if I have a short gap between house sits. I do ask permission to be allowed limited occupancy of the home while house-sitting.

I am retired and therefore 24/7 spend all my time caring for pets and the security/maintenance of homeowner's property.

I am experienced in yard/garden work pool maintenance.

I have recently teamed up with my long-time friend Evert to housesit.

I AM ALSO AVAILABLE AS SOLO HOUSESITTER

Introducing Evert Kampert

I have some experience in marine environments and aquaculture, mostly university research based. Considerable experience on trucks, tractors, 4x4's, quad bikes, motor vessels and ski-mobiles from the farm and past remote research-based field work. My expertise is in IT, research support, research data acquisition and university IT support.

I also have extensive experience in marine vessel operation, having volunteered for Australian Coastguard and Marine Rescue Queensland active duty for 14+ years, volunteer fire active duty for 8+ years and NZL Civil defence to rescue instructor (read SES Aus). I've travelled a variety of continents.

I'm planning/taking a sabbatical to travel by caravan and 4x4 for a period of time with Paul. We have been good friends with for over 15 years and supported each other on various expeditions. We are planning to travel around Australia using house-sitting to obtain a more in-depth appreciation of specific locations to enhance our travel experience. Paul has seven years’ experience housesitting with Mind-a-Home and he is very accomplished at caring for animals and respecting homeowner’s property. Reviews from homeowners back this up.

Additional information: I'm a single non-smoker, keen cycler, hiker, outdoor enthusiast and kayaker. I have some experience as a licensed drone operator, working with Paul with aerial videography and aerial research data collection. I hold car, motorcycle, marine and MR licences (AUS and NZL)

Paul house sat for us for the month of August, 2023. With initial conversation flowing it was easy to gain some insight into his personality and we became sure, very quickly that Paul would be the perfect person to house sit. Whilst away we kept in touch via email. Contact was very unobtrusive and Paul always replied promptly. Upon our return our home was neat, clean and tidy. The care Paul had taken with our home, inside and out, really showed. The best part, however, was just how happy our 2 dogs were. They were so obviously well cared for and loved by Paul that I don’t think they noticed we were even gone! We would have no hesitation in reaching out to Paul to house sit for us again and absolutely no hesitation in recommending him for other house sits. Yours sincerely, Jo and Greg.

Paul did a wonderful job looking after the house and animals. He arrived early so he made sure he was capable of administering the medication that our dog required. And did it well. The house was lovely and clean when we got home and both animals were fine. I highly recommend Paul to look after animals even if they need special care. Thank you Paul.

Lovely man. Paul looked after our 2 dogs and our chickens well. The dogs seemed content when we arrived back home. His dog was also very well behaved. He looked after the property and my plants also. Would recommend him as a sitter any time. Hope to have him back.

Paul has looked after our house and pets on two occasions over a period of five weeks. He kept the house and garden neat and in very good condition. He responded well to an occasion of electrical failure due to storms. Additionally he did all possible to help our ill dog. We would recommend Paul for your future house-sit.
