Hi I'm Ruth & my husband is Neil. We are retired and have been house sitting on and off over some time. As we travel around our beautiful country we enjoy meeting people & looking after other's pets as we have no pets of our own. I previously worked in disability & Neil in IT & as a registered handyman. We have a 22 ft motorhome.

Neil and I have some farming background and home maintenance skills, so caring for animals, checking water & feed, fences, looking after pools, watering, mowing lawns etc making sure things run smoothly while you are away will mean you can have peace of mind. We are non-smokers, like to keep active & fit.

We have lots of experience looking after big or small animals (cows, horses, dogs, cats, chooks or whatever). Check out our reviews.

While you're away we can keep in touch via email, skype or txt to let you know how things are going. We always respect your privacy, leave the house sit as clean as when we found it. “Like most of us, leaving our loved pets fluffy, slinky, feathered, woolly, scaled or hairy, to have a break & how it will effect them when we leave, rest assured Ruth & Neil are absolute treasures who really care for your pets & will leave your home gleaming. Ruth & Neil fed the stock, aviary’s as well as fish tanks & looked after our farm cat, he is not very sociable, old & definitely not used to change… he slept on Ruth & Neil’s bed at night everyone was so content… Ruth & Neil sent updates of all the animals every couple of days… such a reassurance we had total confidence in Ruth & Neil they put you completely at ease which made our holiday even more enjoyable. Neil even sorted the internet for the farm We are so thankful to have Ruth & Neil in our lives, they are welcome to stay with us anytime.”

“We had Ruth and Neil care for our much loved elderly dog and home in Wallaroo, SA while we travelled OS for just under a month. Ruth kept us updated with fun photos during our trip giving us peace of mind. Our home was spotless on our return which we were very grateful for. I would highly recommend Ruth and Neil to house/ pet sit and would gladly have them back if needed.”

“Ruth and Neil were great house sitters. The dogs were very happy when we arrived home, and we could see they had been well cared for. Our house was left in very clean condition. I have many indoor plants and they were all watered and looked after as well. Neil even used his handyman skills to fix our front door when it wouldnt open. Communication was great and regular photos sent to us. Thankyou Ruth and Neil”

Ruth and Neil are a lovely couple and made us feel very at ease - they are experienced house sitters and this was our first time! “Ruth and Neil were absolutely wonderful with our two dogs Rueben and Willow.we can’t praise them enough. The dogs absolutely loved them and were a bit sad when they left (I have never seen this before with any sitters). Our house was left beautifully clean and most importantly Rueben and Willow were happy so would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. I just hope they are available next time when we go away. We have made life long friends. Extremely friendly and easygoing.”
