“After looking around for a heavy duty flywheel puller I came across this one from Mini Sport. I had three really old engines to sort out and knew that the standard ones just wouldn't cut it. Then I came across the Mini Sport Heavy Duty Flywheel Puller. It looked OK so I ordered it. It turned up swiftly and upon opening it I was impressed by the main section of the too, really heavy duty. The bolts looked to be of a high grade and the centre bolt is nice and big. In operation it is easy to put together, just remember to lubricate the centre bolt. I had to apply a reasonable large amount of torque and a few taps with a hammer on the outer bolts and off popped the Flywheel.
The centre bolt had chewed into the centre cap a bit so now I am had trouble taking the tool apart so I have left the bolt in, maybe a higher grade bolt and higher grade cap may help. My only other grip is the postage which seemed a little high. When the item arrived the package was marked as 10KG but on the scales it was less than 5KG so maybe the postage should have been lower. All in all though so far a great tool.”

I've discussed your note on the postage costs with the shipping department who have advised me that the shipping costs are set in price bands 0-10kg; 11kg-20kg and then per 0.5kg after - so that means an item weighing 3 kg will cost the same as one weighing 9kg.

“I likely would not have been able to remove the flywheel without damage had I not had this tool or one similar to it. I had to use an 18" breaker bar and all 175 lbs of me on the end of it to get the extractor bolt tight enough that one rap with a heavy hammer knocked the flywheel off its taper (which turned out to be in less than perfect condition).”
