“The kit was almost unusable due to the fact that the spindles were too long and needed to be cut or ground shorter. The length of the throttle linkage lever was also too long and hit the inlet manifold. It would require cutting a segment out and welding back in place to fit keeping the throttle cable attatchment end complete. Was this really for an HS2? or should it have been for the HS4?”

With regard to the linkage kit we supplied to you, we have put your question as to whether the kit was correct for HS2 or HS4 to the experts at S.U. They confirm that the kit you received is correct for the original cooper and "S" twin HS2 carb assembly, having described the drawing you have kindly supplied they have suggested that what you had was the same or similar to the original equipment on a MGB, however, we know that you have now modified the kit to suit your application and we hope that it will perform as well as it is intended, for you.
