“Modern Rugs are one the worst company I have ever dealt with. They have sent me the wrong colour rug and have refused to collect it at their own cost, despite this being against consumer rights. I have contacted consumer rights department about them and informed Modern Rugs of their statutory obligaions to me but they now appear to be ignoring my most recent e-mail. This was after 'stalling for time' tactics in previous communications by getting me to send 'additional' pictures of the rug (first lot clearly wouldn't do for some reason?!) and then stating the problem relates to people's differing perception of colour and the type lighting they use to photograph the rug making it appear different in different settings! (they clearly think the public are dim and can't tell one colour from another....in my case brown from grey). I have advised Modern Rugs of my intention to contact trading standards about them if I do not get satisfaction in terms of full return costs plus postage during my initial 'right to reject' period, as per my legal consumer rights - one look at their Trustpilot reviews make it clear I am not the only person who believes they are not selling items as per their description / of poor quality and I would add that I have come across more online photo's today that make it even more clear I have not received the rug I should have (underside is also completely different to pictures of rug advertised online). I will also be contacting the rugs manufacturer to advise them of my concerns about this company. My advice is take a look at all the trustpilot reviews on Modern Rugs (they have a one star rating only and that is probably because reviewers cant give zero stars!!) and stay away from them. They are both a joke and a disgrace.”
