“I love these. The absorption is incomparable with pads as you don’t get that irritating movement and the moisture seems to get wicked away in an instant. I have several pairs so I can get through a full period without having to use throw away products containing loads of plastic. I am 42 so periods are not as heavy as they used to be but I still need 7 pairs for a 4/5 day period with some washing and drying in between. I also find them so much more comfortable having been through some traumatic births and finding tampons a bit unsuitable. I haven’t found clots to be an issue as they either break up or can be wiped away when you use the loo (sorry for tmi but I imagine most women want the honest detail). On the (small) downside, they can take a long time to dry if not near a heat source & we don’t have a dryer so radiators have to do. I’d suggest keeping pads/tampons handy as backup for first month or two. Also because inner lining is black (understandably), you have to rely on how it feels to know when you need to change or to be able to tell how heavily you’re bleeding but you get used to this. Finally, they are not cheap and I worked out that my set needs to last me at least 18-20 months to break even. Hopefully they will. Despite this I still believe they are well worth it and I’m glad I don’t have to think about stocking up on sanitary supplies any more.”
