“I wanted to move away from a cup after getting an IUD and dislike the waste associated with disposables. I gave these a go and absolutely love them!
PROS:
- Incredibly comfy. A nice high waist to cover the period tummy, but the high leg means it doesn't feel like you're wearing giant pants.
- So much thinner than a pad of (not even) the same absorbency. You can see a bit of a panty line in tight jeans but otherwise invisible.
- Fits closer to the body than a pad, so no shifting or leaks when doing exercise/sleeping.
- Easier to wash than expected. Pre-rinsing before a wash is more astonishing than gross - they hold a lot!
CONS:
- They take around 12-24 hours to fully dry in the winter months. You'd need at least 5 pairs if using as sole protection.
- A bit of ~that~ smell after a few hours' wear. However, this is no more than a pad would smell after a much shorter time, and only evident when they're pulled down.”
