“These are the first period underwear items I have tried so it will likely take a few months to get used to them. I chose the highest absorbency to try first to see how it would actually cope with the worst days/nights. I wasn't 100% sure how much to push it but they still worked well for several hours and overnight on the heaviest days so I think in time I will get more used to how much I can get out of them. On other days they were great and I definitely felt completely safe in them. They are also very comfortable and the fact that these have the same multiple layer protection all the way to the back makes me feel like I don't have to worry so much about how I sit on the sofa for example and how I sleep.
In terms of care, I felt it was easier for me to rinse and then wash them by hand as I only need to machine wash clothes once a week or less. Because these are so thick they do take a very long time to dry which can be a downside (I suppose lower absorbency ones may dry quicker) but I still felt I had enough for my cycle (I purchased a bundle of 5 of these). Drying them indoors, they took a little over 24 hours to be completely dry (would probably be less if machine washed).
I am currently working from home and this makes it easier to get used to taking the extra time to care for these instead of using quick disposable products but I think it's definitely worth it. If you are not home, they should still be easy to change and store in a wet bag if needed.
Overall, I would recommend them and will likely try some lower absorbency ones too for lighter days. I'm hoping these will last a while as I really like wearing something that's reusable rather than having to use disposable products.”
