“Bought for my 13 year old daughter as she doesn't like changing pads at school due to lack of privacy/dirty bathrooms etc.
I expected the gusset/crotch to be a lot more padded than what these are. I did the 'TV test' before my daughter wore them. I put water on the gusset and pressed a paper towel against it - to my surprise it stayed dry! This, I think, gave my daughter more confidence to wear them.
I bought her these pants and a different brand to try. These were the clear winner. My daughter has heavy periods and wears heavy flow night time pads for the first 3 days of her cycle so was nervous to try these with no other protection. However, the pants lasted a whole school day (8am - 4pm) with no leaks, smells, wet feeling or uncomfyness. Probably would have lasted longer but daughter changed as soon as she got home. She says the pants don't feel any different to wearing 'normal' pants and has requested more pairs.”
