“I bought this as a birthday present for my 13 year old son who is suuuuper into Legos and also happens to really like succulents. I wasn't 100% sure he'd like it, as it's so different from the other types of Lego sets he's had, so I made sure to get him some other bday presents that I knew for sure he'd like. Professional Lego builders design these sets out of pre-existing Lego pieces that were originally designed for other things. So if you look at the pieces closely you can see that they have many uses. My son was intrigued by this and I could see the gears turning in his head, thinking about new ways to use old familiar pieces.2. Apparently there are a good amount of pieces in this set that are not super common and that can be used for other purposes, specifically to make joints that can move... which actually do seem pretty hard to find.My son likes to put sets together and then take them apart to use for his own designs. He especially likes to build weird and crazy imaginary creatures, and was excited about many of the pieces from this set, especially the ones that allow motion.I've bought a lot of Lego sets over the last decade, and I would 100% recommend this one to any Lego enthusiast who is old enough to put it together.
