“Received this item and decided to put it together on the same day. I had the "help" of two of my children (ages 8 and 5) for a small portion of time. The finished product looks amazing, especially for a Lego set version of some famous NYC buildings. There were a few repetitive steps, but most of the process was different enough to keep me focused and engaged. My 5 year old would ask how close it was to being done from time to time, and was excited to see each building go up (as was I!). Upon completion, my wife (who is not big on Legos) marveled at the look of this item, as well, and actually mentioned that maybe we should put it up on one of our bookcases (note to self: time to create a space for all the Lego Architecture models! Ha!).The entire process probably took about 2 hours to finish (keep in mind that I was working with a couple of "helpers" part of the time), but it didn't really seem that long. I'm looking forward to putting the other sets together now.”
“Great little Lego kit. My 9 year old daughter saw it in a store and wanted it. While I was thrilled that she was interested in a more mature Lego item I was worried that she won't be able to put it together. It turned out to be no problem at all. She put it all together fairly quickly with only a tiny bit of help when she mixed up a couple of pieces. It's obviously fairly expensive for the amount of play value it provided, but my understanding is that these are supposed to be displayed after building.”
