“What can I say, my whole family LOVES Lego and I was very excited to see that they were bringing back Harry PotterThis is a pretty cool set....nice that new fans of the series and now buy sets without having to pay crazy prices for the early, collectible sets. Love all the details and inventiveness of Lego. You really cannot go wrong. A great set for fans of the movie.”
“Armed with the same high-quality workmanship LEGO is known for, the Hogwarts Express will impress. Clear instructions and easy-to-assemble pieces made for a fun rainy-day afternoon activity for my kids (ages 15 & 9). The engine looks so cool it enthusiastically occupied a prime spot on our dining room table for several days before getting relocated. After assembly, the train (and other parts) are sturdy enough for play and all the working parts move easily, making for fun, imaginative play time.Another LEGO win!”
“So I have the first Hogwarts Express set from many years ago. This one is much sleeker and fun if not as nostalgic for me personally. We ended up having a Harry Potter summer as some of the youngest kids have discovered him for the first time. This is a fun set that is the usual high Lego standard with clear, concise instructions and sufficient pieces. After some experience with other building blocks brands this summer, this was a welcome return to the best all around. You build it and you can play with it without it disintegrating in your hand when you pick it up or just set it on a shelf. Happy kids and happy adults.”
“We bought this train as we preferred steamers and diesels over the modern trains—thanks Thomas. This was one of the most affordable sets out there and we liked that it had the station. Our son doesn’t know Harry Potter but he will when gets old enough to read them. Our biggest concern is whether it would fit the LEGO traintracks or not. It fits fine and the tracks fit between the platforms (see pictures). We plan on buying the electric kit and customizing it so it can pump it’s pistons around the track.”
“This set looks fantastic and I can't wait to purchase. The Harry Potter line of LEGO sets are always crazy popular... I don't see this released lineup of sets to be any different.Having said that, these sets are new as of July 1. Therefore, I would recommend you check around before paying a price that is higher than retail ($79.99). This set is exclusive right now and hasn't been fully released, so do your homework first.Happy bricking!”
