“I use these little batteries in my re-re Tamiya Sand Scorcher, and its siblings ( the sc ‘SRB’ chassis) and the rerelease Tamiya Bruiser. They are powerful enough even for a Tamiya 25t torque tuned, and run very long. The biggest advantage? They fit in that very old, smaller type of see-through chassis tub. Normal stickpacks won’t fit. They are also very useful for crawlers. There’s more than enough juice to power a humble 45t crawling motor for hours on end.I also, obviously, run them in my HengLong tanks. But that’s a given. The “Fits Sand Scorcher” was a bit of an interesting find. Added bonus to that, the stock Tamiya esc’s have a voltage cutoff that works for LiIon cels, but NOT for LiPo’s.They also, of course, run fine in Kyosho’s rereleases like the scorpion when fitted with a normal 27-turn 540 motor. Thing to note : output is max 20c, so they shouldn’t be used with tuned motors, or low wind brushless. 21t brushless 540 max!, otherwise You might destroy the cells. Which would be a shame, since they are so perfect for vintage rc’s.”
